Project Description
The owners were looking for a fresh new design for their family home. At the master suite, the floor plan needed a creative reconfiguration. We moved walls and plumbing to create an optimal master suite layout and developed a spacious new laundry room in the process! Four bathrooms were overhauled with gorgeous tile selections, timeless plumbing fixtures, and curated lighting fixtures.
To create an inspiring kitchen, a curved plaster hood was custom designed for the 48-inch gas range. We utilized inset cabinets for a crisp look and ‘broke up’ the massing of the wall cabinets by using a deep countertop cabinet to anchor the end of the long wall.
The dining room was dark and closed off from the sunken family room, so we opened the old load-bearing brick wall and ran a new decorative railing across the opening. The dining room now feels light and spacious.
At the exterior, the windows were replaced with new aluminum-clad wood casement windows for a modern look. We retained the original arch-top French doors. With fresh paint and new cast concrete pavers at the entry steps, this house has a brand new feel!
