St. Francisville

The homeowners designed their original house to have a gorgeous, vaulted great room with heavy timber trusses and not an inch of sheetrock in the home. All walls and ceilings were an incredible white-washed cypress. We applied these same design ideas from their original home to the new addition which included: a new Entry Hall, Great Room, Master Suite, Mudroom, and Guest Suite. Where the two structures came together, Woolf designed a new entry porch with a truss and an open gable roof to create a smooth transition between the original house and the new addition.

At the vaulted great room, three pairs of French doors wrap the exterior walls to provide scenic views to 10 wooded acres and a private pond.
