Ridgelake Drive

Ridgelake Drive House - Woolf Architecture

What I love about my job is the opportunity to create. I especially love the opportunity to create spaces where my clients can make memories.

This particular client purchased a lot to be near their first grandbaby. Right off the bat, I was inspired with how they envisioned a new home for entertaining three generations of family. They asked for a “Southern Living” house style which is one of my favorite design styles.

Designing a home on a corner lot means the home needs curb appeal on not just one, but two street façades. The front entry has a traditional Southern porch with a custom paneled sun room. The side façade has triple French doors that can be opened to connect the dining room to the garden space outside. So, it’s an indoor dining room with an alfresco feel when the French doors are opened! Above the French doors, the roof kicks out to create a shed dormer that forms a cozy nook for the grandkids’ beds. At the living room wing of the house, a large brick chimney serves as a great focal point. The natural brick complements the white lap siding, giving the overall feel of a very southern home.

This is a warm and inviting house for three generations to make family memories!
